Providing Management and Design Services for a Last-Minute Wedding

Ashta and Andy came to me four months before their wedding date, fresh off a negative experience with another planner and without any vendors booked. I assured them we could still bring their vision to life, even with a condensed timeline! They booked one of our hybrid packages, Wedding Management with Design, so they could have our assistance with fine-tuning details and curating a design concept. Immediately, we started building a team of trusted Sonoma wedding vendors, determined that their big day would go off without a hitch.

The team at Viansa Winery was incredibly attentive on Ashta and Andy’s wedding day, helping us ensure a stress-free experience. They handled the setup and teardown of all their inventory, which included tables and chairs. With its intuitive layout, Tuscan-inspired aesthetics, and sweeping views of Wine Country, Viansa has every feature a couple getting married in the Sonoma Valley could want. It also boasts a large prep kitchen beloved by caterers!

Two Weddings, One Day: A Multicultural Celebration at Viansa Winery

Ashta and Andy wanted to plan a wedding that fused Indian traditions with Western elements. Drawing on her Hindu faith and his Catholic background, they worked with us to create a timeline highlighting the rituals and communities that shaped them. While they were initially doubtful about fitting every event into one day, we made it work! In fact, we were ahead of schedule the entire time thanks to our team’s tireless work.

The day began with an Indian wedding custom: the baraat! Andy, joined by his family and groomsmen, processed from the venue’s lower level to the upper lawn. Complete with colored smoke and a dhol drummer, the mini-parade was a lively start to the day. Then, it transitioned into the couple’s Hindu wedding ceremony, attended by a small group of their closest loved ones.

The newlyweds and their families enjoyed a casual, station-style luncheon. Then, the rest of their guests arrived for the Catholic wedding ceremony and formal reception. The latter, which took place inside Viansa’s grand hall, featured one of the day’s most memorable moments. While a group of Ashta’s friends performed a choreographed Indian dance, Andy surprised her by joining in. She was completely shocked and delighted!
